Monitoring functions of the Commission

 

Monitoring is an important tool that enables the Commission to fulfil its legislative objective to promote continuous improvement and innovation in policies and practices relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in Victoria.

 

The Commission has a particular role in monitoring services to vulnerable children, particularly those in out of home care and the youth justice system. This includes monitoring the policies and strategies that affect them.

 

In line with the priorities of the Commission’s strategic plan, the Commission is monitoring a number of published reports and data streams, including those listed below.
